Ways to make the time pass.....

I finally have that end of pregnancy organizing energy spurt. Knowing that the baby could come at any time is a wonderful motivator to get things done. It started out as that if-I-don't-do-it-now,-I-might-not-be-able-to-do-it-later mentality. Now it's become more of a I'd-much-rather-be-on-my-way-to-the-hospital-now-but-since-I'm-here-I-might-as-well-do-something waiting game. On the other hand, my house is benefiting tremendously. What I've accomplished so far...

Last Friday, I
  • organized out my section of the closet
  • cleaned the entire bathroom mirror and light fixtures over the sinks
  • sorted through or straightened up all of the drawers and cabinets under the sink
  • <><>cleaned all of my bedroom windows
On Saturday, I
  • tackled the pantry shelves downstairs sorting out empty jars from canned food
  • put away my miscellaneous pile of boy clothes into their appropriate boxes and closed the boxes up properly
  • broke down empty boxes
  • straightened the top shelf with wrapping supplies
  • moved the consignment boxes over into the pantry while sorting through the fall/winter box and pulling out items to simply give away because it was too full
On Sunday, I
  • put away the remainder of the girls' winter clothes
  • washed all of the clothes that I bought at our consignment sale for this summer
  • found and washed several baby toys
  • washed two loads of laundry
  • baked a ham
On Monday, I
  • straightened up the girls' art supplies downstairs
  • set up a spot for items to give my niece and to sell on Ebay
  • put the Childcraft books on the basement shelves
Yesterday, I
  • went through all of the paperwork in my office
  • filed papers
  • organized old bank statements into their appropriate envelope
  • pulled out folders of taxes and bank statements to be moved up to the attic for storage
  • made a lot of waffles
  • dropped a couple of bags worth of stuff at the Salvation Army
Today so far, I've been playing catch up on household chores.
  • My tubs and showers are clean.
  • The hard floors are mopped
  • My stove, counters, and microwave are clean.
  • I have 2 1/2 loads on laundry hanging out on the line.
  • We went to the library and ran some errands.
The question is now that I've given my back a rest what do I do next? I know it's still two days to my due date, but I wish the baby would decide to come on out and play.
